Election: How to Vote and check your name in voting list?

 The  voting of elections for general elections is about to begin in India and around 8.4 crore voters will be casting the vote for the first time in Lok Sabha elections 2019.  There are 1300 candidates from 91 constituencies across 20 states and Union Territories in Lok Sabha elections 2019. The elections process will officially starts from 8 am. The polling officer will be ready beforehand with all their equipments like Voter-verified paper audit trail (VVPAT) machines.

How to vote India?
If you are unfamiliar with the voting process then this step by step process will help you to cast the vote. As provided by India today, here is the process
1. Polling officer will check your ID proof.
* The accepted ID proof documents accepted are:
  • EPIC (Voter ID card)
  • Passport
  • Driving License
  • Service Identity Cards with photograph issued to employees by Central/State Govt./PSUs/Public Limited Companies
  • Passbooks with photograph issued by Bank/Post Office
  • PAN Card
  • Smart Card issued by RGI under NPR
  • MNREGA Job Card (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee)
  • Health Insurance Smart Card issued under the scheme of Ministry of Labour
  • Pension document with photograph
  • Official identity cards issued to MPs/MLAs/MLCs
  • Aadhaar Card
3. Secondly, polling official can ink your finger, provide you with a blunder and take your signature on a register (Form 17A).
4. You will need to deposit the slip at the third polling official and show your inked finger, so proceed to the booth.
5. Record your vote by pressing the ballot button opposite the image of the candidate of your alternative on the Electronic Mechanical Device (EVM); you'll hear a beep sound.
6. Check the slip that seems within the clear window of the VVPAT machine. The slip with the Candidate serial no., name and image shall be visible for seven seconds before it drops within the sealed VVPAT box.
7. You can press NOTA (None Of The Above) if you do not like every candidate; it is the last button on the EVM

9. Mobile phones, cameras or the other appliance isn't allowed within a booth.
10. No one can proxy vote for you.
